Moses Dailey
President/CEO
Born to a mother who played the piano, Moses Dailey has always been fascinated
by music. As a young man, coming of age in high school and in college at Tuskegee University, he found ways to engage with the industry and hone his skills. In 1996,
he started Down Home Productions (DHP) with a
focus on artist development and management. This operation provided opportunities to secure solid industry relationships with artists, labels and promoters.
During this time, Dailey
worked with key individuals
and groups such as LA Reid,
Mike Maldin, Lil’ Jon, Bill Lowery, hit producer Roy Murray, Silk, Arrested Development, and
many more.
After years of working as an independent A&R executive,
he decided to create a forum to help further develop Atlanta’s music scene.
That’s when he partnered
with Sinatra Smith to produce talent showcases for up-and-coming artists.
These showcases supported the quest for musical success among great artists
including India Arie, Van Hunt, Cody Chesnutt, Lil’ Scrappy, and other local and
national acts. Most recently, Dailey consolidated DHP with Dailey Entertainment,
his artist development and management firm specializing in film, fashion and music,
and established Hearsay Records to promote artists
with an unique sound and
star-potential.
